Introduction

Centro Linguistico Agorà has set itself an ambitious goal as a language school for foreigners. Our programs provide only for individual courses or small, homogeneous groups. With this program we want to address those who wish to study a language in a serious, intensive way with the aim of using it as a means of everyday communication. We also want to address those people who need to learn Italian for business or to broaden their appreciation of Italian culture. We use a functional/notional methodology in our courses and none of the four linguistic abilities - speaking, listening, reading or writing - is neglected. The main aim of the courses, however, is to get students to acquire a working knowledge of the spoken language. Courses are structured in levels from the most elementary through the so-called threshold level to the stage where professional needs are satisfied, including that of specialised language.

Our teachers are not only well trained in methodology, they are also particularly flexible and attentive to the students' learning needs and fields of interest. Lessons are conducted in the language being studied. Courses are given all year round according to students' needs.

Centro Linguistico Agorà also offers courses in Russian, French, German, Spanish and Arabic in addition to Italian, using the same methodology.
